Like a house or a car most people would not consider buying one without taking out insurance, many people take the same approach to planning their wedding.

Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, however, even with months of careful planning things could still go wrong. Whilst wedding insurance can't always prevent things going wrong, it can cover your financial loss.

Do I need to take out wedding insurance?

Well only you can answer that question really. But here is a list of some of the reasons why more couples are choosing to take out wedding insurance cover:

Losing the wedding rings
Wedding dress gets damaged
You have to postpone or cancel your wedding because of accident of illness
Reception venue goes out of business
The photographer/videographer fails to turn up to the church/venue

If you do choose to take it out, get more than one quote in the same way you would if you were taking out an insurance policies on anything else, in order to get the best deal.
