Hen Party in Budapest

budapestIf you want your hen party weekend to be a trip abroad that is filled with luxury, culture and beauty then why not try the capital and largest city in Hungary.

Budapest City

Budapest covers approximately two hundred square miles and has a population of over three million people.  With the Danube running through the city it is considered to be beautiful if not one of the most stunning cities in Europe and the twenty million visitors that visit the city every year would probably agree.

Budapest is home to the second oldest underground railway in Europe as well as the largest thermal water cave system in the world.  With other wonderful natural features such as the geothermal springs, the Museums within the locality and its night-life it is no wonder that Budapest is regarded as the liveliest city in Central Europe.

The word Budapest can be split into two very different areas of the city which are on either side of the Danube River.  The medieval hilly side is known as Buda while the more modern area filled with shops and culture is known as Pest.

There are many activities for a hen party that can take place within Budapest which include:

You can, on the days when you have nothing planned, walk around the city and take in the wonderful sights.  For the sightseers in you, try to reserve your excursions in advance by using any of the following:

  • Air: take a twenty minute flight on a helicopter and enjoy a view of the city from above.
  • Bike: for the more active party you could, if you have the energy, ride from one end of the city to the other, stopping along the way to enjoy the sights and bars.
  • Boat: travel down the Danube and enjoy great cuisine, beautiful sights especially at night time and live music.
  • Bus: personal and sometimes open aired these tours can take you all round the city and will incorporate driving, walking and eating.

If you have booked your hen weekend package through an agent, you may already have your transport organised as part of your hen weekend package, most of which will pick you up from the airport and take you to your resort.  You can of course, pack yourself a picnic, grab a local map and see where your legs will take you.
