This park is themed within a tropical lagoon.
Typhoon Lagoon opened in 1989 and is home to the largest outdoor wave pool. ‘Mount Mayday’ is within the heart of the park where ‘Miss Tilly’s shrimp boat is impaled on the mountain an every half hour a 50 foot geyser of water erupts. You can enjoy thrills such as rafting, water slides, surf pools, and surfing (to name but a few). Gentle slides for toddlers to ear-shattering screams of 6 foot high waves can be found all over this tropical water paradise.
