"My partner popped the question after taking me up a massive mountain called the pen-y-fan in wales!! It was so romantic, he hates heights, bless him, but he got there. It took me a while to click as to what he was asking as I thought he was handing me his gps thing. Ha ha, but of course I said yes

"We were on our second night of a stop over in Singapore at the beginning of our holiday of a lifetime on our way to New Zealand.
We decided we would go to Raffles for a meal, be very posh and fancy, get dressed up and eat steak and drink champagne. After a very gorgeous meal in a place which totally lives up to its name, he went to the loo, put the ring he had been hiding in his wallet into his pocket for easy access, and returned to our table.
He declared how much he felt for me in the most romantic words I have ever known him speak, and asked me to marry him.
Obviously I cried for 5 minutes and accepted.
We got a round of applause from the next table who at first I think thought he was leaving me - what with the crying business and everything.
He said he had to ask me at Raffles since how many other people could say the same and it would be something to tell our hopeful children.
Still on a HUGER THAN HUGE HIGH 6 weeks late.

"My boyfriend booked us on a holiday to Bulgaria, we were orginally booked on a sun set cruise on the last day which was cancelled. We returned to our hotel room and had drinks on the balcony, he played our song and asked me to dance telling me how much he loved me, saying how glad he was we made a go of things again after 1yr separation, I was saying yeah I feel the same, then he started to get down on one knee, I was like what are you doing the next thing he pulled a box out of his pocket with this gorgeous ring and asked if I would be his wife! I started to cry and then accepted of course he is the love of my life." Kate
"My boyfriend whisked me away to Prague for a surprise 30th birthday weekend away - it was the most romantic place I had ever been to. He proposed on my birthday, whilst we were stood by the river, looking out towards Charles Bridge and Prague Castle beyond, he just turned to me and said, "Will you marry me?", I was gobsmacked!! I had no idea this is what he had planned - it was the most romantic moment ever! He had everything planned, including the ring, which is stunning! "We were snowboarding in Austria with friends. One evening at dinner Matt said he was feeling unwell and asked if we could go and sit in the bar upstairs for a bit. We went upstairs and there was a corner table arraged with champagne on ice, a large vase of my favourite flowers, tea-light candles in a heart shape with the ring in the middle. He got down on bended knee and was the most amazing proposal!" Jen

"I was surprised when I was told by my boyfriend, Paul, that he had a holiday booked to the United States (destination unknown), and was excited to learn (at the airport) it was Las Vegas. We spent a couple of glitzy days on the main strip, feasting our eyes & appetites.
On day 3 Paul said he had something special planned. He had arranged a helicopter trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon! We then took a horse & cart through the desert to Sunset Ranch, with real cowboys! As we rode horseback to Spirit Mountain, Paul proposed as the sun went down over the canyon to the lilting voice of a guitar playing cowboy. He was nervous, I was ecstatic! "Chris proposed to me on his birthday. We had gone for a meal with my sister and brother in law and were sat in the bar area waiting to be seated. Chris had just opened his presents and we were about to go to the table when he said he had a present for me. My response was "but its not my birthday!". I proposed to my girlfriend Jemima late one night after we'd been to a very nice meal at a flash restuarant. I aksed her whilst we were stood just outside of a floodlit endinburgh castle with fireworks going off all around us on the horizon (asked her on bonfire night! 2 days ago!!!!) "My Fiance proposed at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower. It was dark and the tower was all lit up, such a gorgeous and romantic proposal and totally unexpected. It should have been at the top but I am terrified of heights and flatly refused to even go up to the first level, he had been trying to encourage me to go up all day but I had flatly refused. I realised something was wrong when he would not let me take the camera out of the case to take a photo - he had hidden the ring in there!." Dawn Bell
"We went all the way to Florida for a wonderful holiday, we had 3 children with us so i had no idea darren would even think about proposing to me. on my birthday we went diving for oysters & opened one to find a pearl in it, we had the pearl put into a ring.
I didn't suspect it was an engagement ring, just a dress ring. 2 days later we went back to sea world & I had no idea until darren told me the following day that he'd carried my ring around all day with him, trying to find the right moment. the children didn't give us any time together, then it poured & the ground was too wet for him to go down on one knee, then the restaurant was too busy & he's pretty shy !
Then we came back to UK & I took him for a meal to thank him for a wonderful holiday. we got back from the meal & he said "i've had the ring with me all evening, but the restaurant was too busy & I didn't feel well" so when we got back to our quiet lounge he got down on one knee & totally surprised me with a wonderful emotional proposal. Then our snake fell off her heating light & splashed down into her water bowl !!! how romantic ?? I of course said YES !! i've known him since he was 8." Sally
