Oh My God Daydream! Are you mad! My wedding is 12 May 07. Got engaged Christmas day 2005 and I'm beginning to think that wasn't enough time for everything to be done.

We did the same thing Wendy, i booked ours in September, we get married next week.
Although it is a lot to organise i am pleased i did it at short notice, less time to worry and change my mind on all the decisions.

Are you please you have done it last min ?

i am getting married in the registry office and then for a meal then we are staying there as my night doo will also be there.

Two months to go and I'm not ready!!

At the moment I'm not pleased it's so close!!

Maybe I am mad!!!

My OH just decided on the date for some reason and as I always say "It was a good idea at the time".

I'm having trouble with family at the moment - thinking we're rushing it etc and now we're not getting any help. E.g my sister is an excellent cake maker but is still deciding if she can do it or not !! She's been married 3 times and I've helped with each one.

It doesn't help that my other half is so calm and not worried about anything eventhough he hasn't got his suit . . .

My many worry is that anyone who does come (that's the other worry- negative attitude= no guests) will think it's rushed and unorganized.

Hi Wendywitch,

try and remain calm. Dave and I have a very close friend who got engaged and married in less than 3 weeks. I would ask your sister to make a decision if she can make the cake and then give her a deadline by which it needs to be done by. Explain you don't really want to go elsewhere as you'd love her to make the cake but if thats not possible accept it and then get one from M&S or Adsa and decorate it yourself or ask her to decorate it.

With regards to your husband theres no point in him getting anxious as that will only make matters worse for you. Have a look at the morning suits (if thats what he's interested in wearing) on the Moss Bros website and than get him to go in and get measured.
