Right. I am looking to get Dan something from Man city. My mum's friends hubby works at the training ground and used to be able to get stuff signed but now Mark Hughes is boss he has clamped down! So thats out of the question. I have looked on mcfc website and found a part about signed cards. I have contacted them by email to ask if they do anything else appart from cards. The cards take at least 2 weeks, we have 3.5 weeks. They also sell signed framed pics in the store but can be pricey!
Here is where I got the info for the cards from http://www.mcfc.co.uk/default.sps?pagegid=...E-A31E2F8C1B82}
I was wondering if any of you have done this, who did you write to? What did you get? How long did you wait?

Didn't get a thing from Chelsea. I as hoping for 1 or 2 cards as both Marc and my dad are Chelsea fans (an me obviously) but they said that stuff like that ends up on eBay and refused my request.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Man Utd sent me through a certificate signed by Alex Ferguson. It was personalised so that it cannot be sent on. I received it back within 2 weeks.

YES!!!! I have had a reply!
They have sent me a price list of signed things you can buy!! Its £90 though! With the shirt you can only order on the 1st september and its first come first serve basis. If I can't get a shirt I will get him a ball.
The money goes to charity too

I got a signed certificate off Arsenal (only took them a couple of weeks to send after my email) and I've just heard back from Spurs (for my bro) who say they will send a signed card the week before the wedding (early October)

Good ideas for gifts! I would have loved something football related, but as a Newcastle fan the only thing my wife could have got me to make me feel better would have been an extra 30 points that season! Unfortunately even she doesn't have those kind of powers!... Oh well!
It's interesting to see what people have managed to get out of these clubs, after all, I guess they don't need to bother at all do they?

Great idea - wouldn't have thought the bigger clubs would do anything like this but my dad would love it so definitely be considering this for the wedding! Thanks.
Were the Man Utd ones free or was there a charge?

They were free, but it's a standard certificate...with your names personalised. Alex Ferguson REALLY signs it though
