bit depressed at the mo....

other sister (Beth) is having a bit of a moan as to why her & Mia (other niece) wasn't invited. I'll tell you the reason and you can make your own minds up if you think i was in the wrong or not...

Her boyfriend (Paul) cannot even say hello to me when he walks in the room, he is racist and and has never even met Howard. I couldn't invite her & Mia and not him and why would i want him there (above reasons being quite valid ones i think)

Beth says he wouldn't have come anyway but how on earth do i know that!! Why would i want someone at MY wedding that looks at me like I've dropped out of a dogs bottom?!

And how mean would it have been to have told them before had - 'oh me & H are getting married but oh by the way you're not invited!?'

Tell me I'm right please!?

Mel totally with you on that one.
I cant stand people like that, why judge someone u dont know or have even met and especially when its about race too!
That just pi%%es me right off!

And you dont want to feel uncomfortable around people like that even more so when it is your wedding day.
Dont worry bout them hun, its all done now and nothing can be changed.
Keep smiling and dont u dare feel depressed.

it is a natural reaction for a sibling to feel kinda left out if one was invited and not the other but your reason for not inviting them is totally justified...!

Oh Mel don't let that get you down. You were 100% right not to invite them, how were you to know that Paul wouldn't come!? Hell even Steve says you're right (this from the man who has no opinion on anything). just enjoy being Mr & Mrs S! Go look at your post addressed in your new name and be all excited!! xxx

Your parents reaction wasn't tooo bad then, could have been a lot worse I suppose.

As for your other sister, think it was a natural reaction to feel a bit left out but completely see why you did it and agree you were right to make the decision you did.

Don't worry hun, you're a married woman now and just concentrate on that and the people who are pleased for you!!

OMG laf my head off tonight!!! Just rang H, (h works nights) he asked me if i got my post, i said yes, why. He said when it came through the door addressed to Mrs M Spence he thought 'who the F*** is that!!' (he then realised it was me!!

was showing folks at work a picture of me & H by Gretna sign to 'prove' we had got married, you know they thought it was a joke picture, you know like when you stick your head into them picture things at the fair!!
