Did any one have a second dance after their first? As we're putting on a bit of a show for our first dance I'd quite like to have something properly dance-y afterwards, a bit of James Brown or something! x

Our DJ has suggested we have 3 dances :-/
I'm thinking like you, it needs to be something dancy - get everyone in the mood to dance! x

Yeah my dad is being a pain in the bum about it, he wants us to have our first dance, then all the parents get up for the 2nd dance, then the wedding party for the 3rd dance, then everyone else for the 4th!! Too much, pa!
I might have 3 just because I do want to get 'our song' in there and it's a bit of a slow one. It's Charmed Life by The Divine Comedy and it's lovely

Bless your dad, but yeah that does sound a bit much!
We have a slow song thats 'our song' but decided against is for the start of the night as wanted something more upbeat (and we'd got about 4 'our songs' to pick from) so we're having our slow dance near the end of the night, followed by a song that reminds me of Chris, and he's picking one that reminds him of me (we're keeping them a surprise...so god knows what he'll come up with

We had our first dance, to Paul Weller, "you do something to me" the DJ got everyone to join in near the end, then to keep them on the floor we'd chosen another slow song, "have I told you lately" by Van Morrison, and I danced a bit with my dad and new dad in law.
It seemed to work very well.

Yeah I do want to have a dance with my dad that night, his song to me was always The Power of Love (The Frankie Goes to Hollywood version, not the Robert Palmer one!) so I'll make sure that gets played

We had two. Marvin Gaye- Sexual healing was the first and our second was Neyo and Rihanna- Hate that I love you.
Both songs were picked by Hubby and I was surprised with them at our reception xxx

Our first dance was to I Swear by All 4 One so a good slushy one! Lol! Then our second dance was to Paulo Nutini (not sure of spelling!) Pencil full of Lead and we are so pleased that we had something upbeat! It was great, we asked the DJ to ask all the wedding party up for that song but he ended up inviting everbody up but it was fab and such a laugh and the dancefloor was packed!xx

We only had one. The DJ thought i wanted our first dance song (Adele, make you feel my love) followed by elbow one day like this but that song is over 5 minutes long(!!) so i said no way...
Im glad we only had the one and the DJ asked everybody to join us for the last minute which i was so pleased about because everyone dancing around us was crying, it was emotional and lovely
