Haha! The balls of the mother in law!

I have to say though, i do think she was well within her rights to say those things. Of course its stuck up and snobby to think that way, especially in this day and age, but if thats what the MIL believes in, then the DIL should fall in line.

I wouldnt go round some poshies house and not expect to fall in line... It'd be embarrassing.

Funny though

and for the record, i dont have to get on with my MIL because my husband doesnt speak to her...

Incidentally, they dont talk to each other because she slagged me off a few years ago and of course my husband took my side :P

gawwwd she sounds evil!

My MIL is lovely, they live about 5 mins away from us, and are such a help to us. My own family are so far away it's nice to have my 2nd family nearby.

I suppose we only have one side of the story, the DIL may well have been rude and a bit slobby, but even still! Imagine doing a handwritten thank you note for staying at someones house?

OMGosh!

I won't have the pleasure/displeasure of the experience of a Mother-In-Law :( Kels mum has passed on, died before Kel & I met. :(

LOL @ a hand written thank you letter for staying the night.

My MIL can be a bit of a cow at times (she once asked if I was a gypsy because I had my nose pierced at the time and can be quite blunt at times), but this is just outrageous!!! Who on earth does this woman think she is??? It doesn't sound like the girl did anything that bad... I would seriously tell this woman to f off if it was me! How rude!
