WEDDING CHAOS FORUM SPONSORS

We currently have 2 forum sponsors. The links below go directly to their own Sponsored Section.
These companies make a financial contribution to help cover the running and maintenance costs of these forums. Some of them join in the forum every day, chatting and offering advice wherever they can, some will just respond to questions in their own Forums – but, crucially, all make a financial contribution to help keep the forums running.

Please take a moment to look at what they have to offer.

1. Where do I introduce myself?

You can say hello in our General Chat (non Wedding) forum and if you already have wedding plans underway you can start your own thread in the Tell us the Details if you are already married you can share your story with us in the How did your day go? forum.

2. Can I post links to websites?

If you are a new member and you post links to commercial websites your post will probably be deleted. We get a lot of spam posted to our forums, this is businesses 'pretending' to be brides / grooms whose sole reason for registering with the forums is to post a link to their business.

You may be genuine in your reasons for linking, but until you have been around for a little while, and made other posts, we would rather you refrain from linking to commercial websites.

3. Can I recommend businesses or products in my posts?

You can recommend or link to businesses only if the business relates directly to the question being asked, and only if you have made 50 posts. You are not allowed to recommend a business that is registered with these forums. They can speak for themselves. The moderators use their discretion on this one. If we feel you are 'promoting' a business that you have some affiliation with, we will remove your posts.

You are welcome to show images and mention / link to businesses within your Tell us the Details thread, if it is something you have purchased or booked for your wedding. If the item is not for your own wedding you may post about it in the Wedding Professionals - Your business forum, with images, only if both you and the business have made at least 250 posts.

4. How do I link to images?

If you want to link to an image from another website, or perhaps from a photo sharing website like photobucket, you will find instructions here

5. How do I upload images?

We have written a complete guide for cropping, resizing and uploading your photos to the forum. You can read the guide here

6. Can I hide posts from certain members?

Yep - Go into your My Controls section and click the Manage Ignored Users link on the bottom left menu. Simply add the Users you want to ignore.

7. Can I remove certain forums from the 'View New Posts' page?

Yep - you can filter out whichever forums you like. For details please read here

8. How do I report a post?

Underneath every post, on the left, is a button called - REPORT - simply click that.

9. What are emoticons?

Smiley faces and the like. When you click 'reply' or start a 'new topic' you can see them on the left hand side. Click the Show All link to see lots more. :)

10. How do I search the forums?

By using the Forum Search page!

11. Who are the Moderators?

You can view the current list of Moderators here

12. Can I become a Moderator?

If you have been around for at least 6 months and have made over 300 posts, then send me a message and we can talk about it.

13. Can I donate to help support the forums?

Of course!! Use the 'Make a Donation' button at the top right. If you do any online shopping using the links in this thread will also help us out :)

14. What is the Member to Member forum for?

This section is for asking something to a specific member of the forum that you feel other members may benefit from knowing the answer to, rather than sending a pm. To make it clear who it is for, always use the member's name as the title of the thread.

No Business related stuff here please, e.g. Name and Praise posts.

15. Can you delete one, some or all of my posts?

If you start a topic, and it has no replies, a Moderator can delete your post. However, as soon there are replies we will no longer delete the thread. Other people spend time replying and it is not fair if we simply remove all of their posts as well. If you don't want a permanent record of something on these forums, and you don't want your comments appearing in Google, then don't post it on these forums.

16. Should I 'bump' my post if I have no replies, or want more people to see it?

No. If everybody 'bumped' there posts then the forums would be full of 'bumped' posts that most people have already read. Occasionally the Moderators may bump posts - that is the exception.
