heatherden hall 01Pinewood Studio’s brings to mind classic films such as The Great Gatsby; Carry on up the Khyber and Where Eagles Dare but long before it was a movie making studio the original manor house held many banquets and balls while undergoing a catalogue of owners and transformations.

Heatherden Hall can be found nestled in the midst of a large secluded and beautifully sculptured garden.  An ornamental bridge spanning a lake, breathtaking statues and a vast array of water features with spectacular tree lined walkways can all be found in the serene surroundings.

Civil ceremonies can be held in any two of the magnificent stately rooms in the Georgian Manor before going through to the remarkable oak-panelled ballroom that still has the original oak sprung dance floor.  With its open fire place and French windows leading onto the terrace and gardens it gives a truly romantic setting for any wedding.

Your reception can be turned into a wonderous and memorable experience as you and your wedding party dine on a sumptuous banquet and sip on fine wines before dancing away underneath the sparkling crystal chandeliers.

Guest capacity varies depending on which type of ceremony and reception you are looking for with a maximum of 400.

  • Up to 100 for the ceremony.
  • For a seated meal the capacity is 240.
  • Buffet meals 400.

For much larger weddings there is the availability of having a marquee situated on the lawn and parking is available for up to 200 cars.

The gardens, Georgian rooms and sun terrace can provide an ideal setting and back drop for your unforgettable wedding photographs.

Over 600 Movies Filmed at Heatherden Hall

heatherden hall 02The 19th century manor Heatherden Hall surrounded by Buckinghamshire countryside was converted in 1936 by Arthur Rank into Pinewood Studios and has filmed over 600 movies.

During the week the ballroom becomes a top class restaurant where fine food and wine is served and on most weekends a variety of options are available to newly married couples and their guests, adapting to any season from sparking reception drinks in the gardens to mulled wine in front of roaring log fires.
