London Eye Wedding
The London Eye is fast becoming one of the Worlds popular wedding locations for those with a head for heights and a yearning for their day to be somewhat different.
Couples are joining a fast growing trend to exchange their vows while sipping chilled champagne and looking down at the capitals magnificent surroundings.
You and your loved one can have your very own private capsule decorated with flowers to hold the ceremony courtesy of the Lambeth Register Office. The capsule is large enough to hold up to 20 guests and will be served with a champagne toast on the descent.
On entering the capsule you and your fiancé will gain a height of 135 meters before reaching the very top. At that point the registrar will pronounce your marriage official and when you descend it will be as man and wife.
Afterwards the Register Office offers a private room for you and your guests to enjoy additional champagne and canapés in a private function room, or you may wish to hold your own reception elsewhere.

Special Occasions on the London Eye
Since opening as the Millennium Wheel in 2000, the London Eye has become one of UK’s largest, and the Worlds number two, attraction; with visitors from all walks of life.
When the first civil partnership was performed on the London Eye the special occasion was marked with pink lighting and in February 2006 a 25 years lease was granted to the London Eye.
Slowly but surely
Each rotation takes about 30 minutes, meaning a capsule travels at a stately 26cm per second, or 0.9km (0.6 miles) per hour - twice as fast as a tortoise sprinting; allowing passengers to step on and off without the wheel having to stop.
Up up and away
The height of the London Eye is 135m (equivalent to 64 red telephone boxes piled on top of each other) making it the fourth tallest structure in London after the BT Tower, Tower 42 and One Canada Square in Canary Wharf.
DING! DING!
The London Eye can carry 800 passengers per revolution - equivalent to 11 London red doubled-decker buses
