The 29 acres of tranquil woodland beauty is a popular choice for couples to hold their wedding ceremonies and receptions and wedding parties are given exclusive use of the centre and surrounding gardens.
Accommodation is available for up to 24 people and ceremonies can be held inside the beautiful Regency House or outside in the wonderful cloistered garden.

Wedding Catering at the Matara Centre
The Matara Centre use only fresh local ingredients in their menus whenever possible to ensure only exquisite delights are served to you and your guests’.
They boast they are ‘passionate about exciting, fabulous, fun food' and say it is “presented with love and care to ensure your day is extraordinary”.
Healthy options for both Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter menus, buffet meals, fun BBQ’s and ice cream bars are among the menu choices. From special menus to a mix and match from certain menus there is a range from cheap and delicious to more expensive and elaborate to choose from.
Peaceful and Tranquil Gardens
The well tended gardens are an ideal backdrop for your wedding photographs and because you will have private use of the Matara Centre you and your guests can find time to relax by the wishing tree. Take part in a tree dedication service that all bride and grooms are given to plant or taken time to enjoy walking the 7 sided meditative Labyrinth.
Within the grounds you can find the Meditative Gardens with its giant beech trees before you end up at the ornamental herb garden and reflective ponds and hopefully catch sightings of heron’s and kingfishers swooping in the hope of catching a fish.
Private Family Home for Exclusive Use
Next door the Kingscote Park House is a private family home that is available for those intimate weddings and can house up to 16 people. Ceremonies can be held for up to 30 guests and this Grade II listed Regency house has the added bonus of stunning views over gardens, woodlands and meadows. Exclusive use with self-catering is also available.
Complete with a country kitchen and dining area, library and music room you and a few selected guests can totally relax in the 8 elegant and tastefully decorated bedrooms.

The Matara Centre can be found just 20 minutes from Junction 18 of the M4 or Junction 13 of the M5 and there are three nearby train stations of Stroud (30 minutes), Kemble (20 minutes) and Chippenham (45 minutes). The centre also offers a pick-up service.
