Labour MP, Ben Bradshaw, to have Gay Wedding
45 year old Ben Bradshaw, MP for Exeter, will be the first MP to register their Civil Partnership. The Environment Minister for Labour is set to wed his partner, Neal Dalgleish, a BBC journalist, later in June.
Ben, is set to join the Hall of Fame along with the likes of Elton John and more than 3,500 other gay couples that have already registered their commitment to each other.
A spokesmen for the minister said: "Ben Bradshaw and his long-term partner, Neal Dalgleish, are to register their civil partnership in June this year.
"To celebrate the occasion they're giving a party for family and close friends at Ben's sister's home in Herefordshire."
Ben is thought to be one of the first openly gay MPs to have been elected. He has been a long standing supporter of gay rights. Mr Bradshaw was first elected to Westminster in 1997, and he was previously a BBC correspondent.
