Big Brother Wedding - Pete Burns
Love him or hate him the outspoken Big Brother star, Pete Burns, announced his engagement to boyfriend Michael Simpson on live TV on Friday.
The pair seemed inseparable as they showed off their matching skull shaped engagement rings, to chat show host Richard and Judy.
It seems only fitting that the couple should have chosen to wear diamante skull rings, designed by the flamboyant Vivienne Westwood. When speaking about the rings Pete said: "Well, actually, today we got our engagement rings, made by Vivienne Westwood. It symbolises that under all of this flesh we are bones. And souls."
It appears the sharp tongued Pete, 46, must have been lost for words when he first met Michael, who was working in a restaurant.
Little did Michael know Pete Burns had been the lead singer of 80’s pop band ‘Dead or Alive’ famous for its dance hit “You Spin Me Round”. Dead or Alive, along with the likes of Culture Club, paved the way for many transvestite acts to join main stream pop music back in the 80’s.
