Wedding Dance remake of Dirty Dancing
It seems Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey have some stiff competition from the likes of happy couple Julia Boggio and James Derbyshire, from Wimbledon.
Julia, 31 and James, 33 wow their wedding guests as they recreated the final dance scene from the classic chick flick ‘Dirty Dancing’.
The couple tied the knot 18 months at Fonmon Castle in Wales. Guests were treated to a movie themed wedding as Julia, walked down the aisle to the theme tune from ‘Raiders of the Lost Arc’.
James in actual fact hates the film ‘Dirty Dancing’ and was reported to have told the Sun newspaper: ‘…..just like any other bloke across the world, it drives me insane. And even now, every time I hear the song from the end of the film, I shiver. I was railroaded into it.
James still managed to persevere and practiced learning the dance routine for six months before and after work just to ensure he got it right on the wedding day.
Julia, a wedding photographer and James, a film production owner recently uploaded an edited version of their wedding video onto the website YouTube >> for there friends and family to view.
However more than 520,000 internet uses have logged onto see the couple perform their dance.
The video has had a mixed review from internet uses; however Julia defended their performance by telling the Sun: “We did the dance because we wanted to make people laugh. We wanted people to have fun – it was all about putting smiles on people’s faces.”
I think the couple were brave to try something different, and from the reaction they got from their guests it was certainly worth it.
