13-NOV-2005 | Elton set for Castle in the Wind wedding
With the British government introducing a new law to legalise single sex marries it has seen an influx of same-sex couples wanting to tie the knot, including the likes of British rock legend Sir Elton John.
Sir Elton will be marrying his long-time partner, Canadian producer Dave Furnish, on 21st December. The happy couple have been together for 11 years and have been reported to have hired the Windsor’s MacDonald Castle Hotel for mid-December, in time for the new laws on same-sex marries to be brought in.
A source is reported to have told the Daily Star newspaper: "They have organised a lavish meal to the finest detail."
Sir Elton has already dropped a few hints as to some of the celebrities who will be at his forthcoming wedding by saying: "I think I would like Lulu as my maid of honour and Victoria Beckham as my best man!"
Elton John has not only earned his reputation in this country and all over the world for realising hits such as Candle in the Wind and Rocket Man, but he has also brought awareness of the plight of millions of people around the world who contract HIV and those who are dying of AIDS, through is charity The Elton John Aids Foundation.
From everyone at WeddingChaos, we wish Sir Elton and Dave every success with their forthcoming wedding.
