New Year Wedding for George Michael
Pop star George Michael has announced his plans to marry his long-term partner Kenny Goss in a Civil Ceremony early next year. George, a former singer in the hugely successful 80’s group Wham, said: "It'll be relatively soon after it comes in, probably early next year."
The happy couple have been together for nearly ten years, and were hoping to mark the event by having a Civil Partnership Ceremony.
George, 42, and his 47-year old Texan partner, Kenny, plan to hold a quiet, private wedding ceremony which he said would be: "without the whole veil and gown thing. We'll probably do it here, not abroad."
This is in contrast to the lavish Royal wedding of his friend Sir Elton John and partner David Furnish, earlier on this week. Sir Elton had over 700 guests including a host of celebrity well wishers, and the likes of Victoria Beckham, Sharon Stone, Hugh Grant and the Osborne’s, attended the wedding. Not surprisingly guests were reported to have queued to get into Sir Elton’s £10 million Berkshire mansion, car park.
