England footballer, Michael Owen married his childhood sweetheart Louise Bonsall yesterday.

England footballer, Michael Owen married his childhood sweetheart Louise Bonsall yesterday. The wedding was held at the four star Carden Park Hotel near Chester.

Michael, 25 and Louise, 24 were wed in a matter of minutes in a very intimate ceremony witnessed only by a dozen guests, including close friends and family and their two year old daughter, Gemma Rose.

A member of staff said: "It was a very quiet service and only lasted a few minutes. It was very private but a very nice service. It was lightning quick."

The Real Madrid, striker is due to hold a lavish party in the grounds of their Grade-II listed mansion, in Flintshire, north Wales.

England team-mate David Beckham and his wife Victoria along with England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson are thought to be just some of the on big names on the guest list.
