Sheriff Withdraws Offer to Marry Bank Robbers
Sheriff Ron Kalanquin- Michigan Sheriff who had volunteered to marry two armed robbers has withdrawn the offer after they were captured. The offer was made on the condition that the Bonnie and Clyde duo surrender.
However Elizabeth Bruman and Harold Holt, both 24, failed to turn themselves in and went on the run after they robbed a bank in Deerfield Township, near Detroit.
Lapeer County sheriff's Sgt. Jason Parks said the fugitives were eventually traced to a homeless shelter through telephone records.
The couple are currently being held in a Wyoming jail awaiting extradition to Michigan on charges of armed robber.
