    Welcome To Our Newsletter

    horse drawn carriage

The 10th Edition of our newsletter brings you three new wedding advice articles as well as all the other regular items and competitions.

We start with a look at Civil Partnerships, then move onto the horse drawn carriage as a way to get to your wedding, a quick look at the Graceland Chapel in the Woods, from the home of Elvis and read all about the wedding of Marina to her new husband Terry.

We also have all the usual stuff with tips, survey results and of course a couple of great competitions, the usual word search to win some chocolate from Little Red Dragon Crafts (yummy) and the main competition to win a personal wedding speeche, unique, written from scratch and tailored to suit you.

This edition is sponsored by 3D Jewellery providers of special occasion jewellery in silver, diamante, or “pearl”. bridal tiaras, bridesmaid hair bands and gifts.

Check out the left hand side for Special Offers, exclusive to readers of this newsletter, from Bespoken For and 21st.century photoGraphic.

    Civil Partnerships

holding handsOn the 18 November 2004 the Civil Partnership Act Law was passed and came into force on December 5th 2005.  Civil partnerships are a legal union between two people of the same sex and give the partnered couples all the key elements that come with marriage.

As it stands today, common law marriages have no legal force if the partnership breaks down and things can get very messy with regards to legal rights, even if the couple have spent many years together.

If you would like to know more about civil partnerships, then read here

    Horse Drawn Carriage

horse drawn carriageStep back in time and imagine when transport was powered by the elegance and grace of a horse. Where the roar of the engine would be a horse moving from a trot to a gallop. We are talking about the era of the horse-drawn carriage.

The wedding car is by far the most popular way in which the bride gets to the wedding venue. However, if you are looking for something different, a more eco-friendly alternative and something which will have many guests romanticising how you’ve captured the air of Pride and Prejudice then a Wedding Horse-drawn carriage could be your answer.

If you want to know more about using a horse drawn carriage on your wedding day, then read here

    Wedding at the Graceland Chapel?

    graceland chapel

Lovers of Elvis, or those who are looking for a ‘different’ wedding, can get married in the quaint old fashioned chapel which is adjacent to the Graceland Mansion.

Ever since the chapel was opening in the early 90’s, scores of couples have held hands whilst saying their wedding vows in the Graceland Wedding Chapel in the Woods.

If you want to know more about getting married at the Graceland Chapel in the Woods then read here.

    Your Wedding - Your Story

    marina

In this edition we feature the wedding of forum member Marina, to her husband Terry, in our Your Wedding - Your Story section. Marina and Terry got married in January this year.

You can read all about Marina's wedding here.

If you would like your wedding featured in this section please let me know

    Tip of the Issue

If having your invites made and printed inside leave it to the very last minute to get them printed.

If you don't, you may have the problem Hanna did...

"I have had all mine printed. 4 people are no longer coming to the day (invites now wasted) place cards for these 4 people are also commited to... I have Day and Evening invites printed... so I cant upgrade from evening unless a whole new invite is made. Which in turn wastes yet another evening invite!"

If you have any great tips please let us know on the forum

    Competition Time!

wedding perfumeIn this edition we give you the chance to win a unique, personalised speech from Unique Wedding Speeches.

Does you H2B or perhaps his best man need a helping hand with their speech preparation? This could be the answer.

The closing date for this competition is 6pm on Saturday 23rd February.

The competition is only open to Newsletter subscribers who are registered with our forums. If you have not yet registered you can do so here - you must also quote your unique id, WC[id,fallback=0], so that we can identify you should you be the lucky winner.

Once registered read this thread for the simple entry details.

    And Finally...
