Using the Toilet in your
Wedding Dress
It is one of the most important days of your life. You and your partner have been planning it for months and finally it has arrived!
All the preparations you have made and worried over are in place and you have thought about every single little detail - except one; how on earth do you go to the toilet without ripping or wetting your beautiful wedding dress?
It isn’t a question that most brides wonder about on their wedding day, they have so much to look forward to and after all the extensive planning that has been going on they want to just enjoy the day and not have to worry about tiny little details, but perhaps this is something that all brides should consider, particularly when trying on and buying their wedding dress.

Hen Party in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is a beautiful, picture postcard city and has been attracting hedonism in all its forms for many years.
Most of its main attractions are within walking distance or, a short tram ride away, from the city center making it very popular for tourists. The home of the laid back coffee shop, comedy clubs, international cuisine, lively bars, fashionable clubs, history and art, all surrounded by a very friendly culture and breathtaking scenery.
No wonder that it is becoming ever more popular as a hen party destination! Which bride wouldn’t want to spend a few days with her chosen few, surrounded by the beauty and culture of this city by day and ‘party to the max’ at night with its offering of fascinating and lively nighttime activities.

Grooms - How much to spend
on the Engagement Ring?
Engagement rings used to not only show a commitment to marriage, they also represented monetary value and were expected to be expensive to give a message to both the bride and her family that:
The groom had made a conscious effort at saving in order to propose
By saving for the ring the groom proved that he was capable of saving for a future home
If the couple fell on hard times, the ring would always be there to ‘pawn’ to help them get through
The ring was seen as more than just a representation of union, it was also viewed as an investment in family jewels.

Non-Religious Ceremonies
The majority of couples still opt for the traditional religious ceremony, conducted in a church surrounded by all the religious beliefs. However, gone are the days when all weddings were solemnly conducted in religious surroundings and required the blessing of their God.
More and more couples are choosing new and innovative ways to conduct their wedding ceremonies such as holding them in different venues, conducted by different people other than religious figures and choosing to have a ceremony that represents their beliefs and is totally personal to them, i.e. a ‘non-religious wedding’.

Wedding Myths
There are many myths and superstitions around weddings which are folk law or passed down from generation to generation. Some myths are contradictory and hold both positive and negative connotations.
Most are based on events or omens which foretell of good or bad luck.
There is no scientific basis to these myths, but most brides will still follow them, and will always be given advice prior to their wedding from well meaning friends and family to bring good luck or ward off bad luck. How many brides-to-be are still offered something blue to wear on the day from several people?
Some may decide to dismiss the myths and practices, but most won’t; after all, would you take the chance?
