Having a wedding DJ or disco at your wedding could be the perfect way to relax yourself and your guests after the days formalities.

When choosing a DJ its important they have had experience entertaining a wedding audience. They should have an extensive music collection, in order to cater for a large range of tastes.

Check with the DJ what they would normally wear to a wedding, so that you are happy with their presentation.

If you plan to do a first dance let the DJ have a copy of the song or music so they can prepare in advance. If you have a list of songs you would like to be played during the course of your wedding reception let the DJ know. However its also important to trust in your DJ as they should be able to judge the mood of the audience and then be able to play a selection of songs which should appeal to a wide range of your guests.

Find out if your DJ can provide all the lighting equipment. Try and get them to visit the wedding venue in advance so they know exactly how much space they have to work with.
